MONTECARLO: a jewel among castles, home of best wines.
Looking up from one of the hills of the valley of Montecatini and Valdinievole, there is but one profile that every single borgo faces, facing the horizon towards Lucca: it is Montecarlo, few steps from Pescia, a hill dividing two valleys, founded by Giovanni of Boemia for his young son, Carlo of course.
A small fortress and borgo built to protect “vivinaia”, where since over 750 years ago wine was already produced daily.

FREE GUIDED TOUR
Short guided walking tour in the Historical Medieval Centre, through the breathtaking narrow streets and the ancient Doors of the city, seeking for hidden corners. Visit of the world famous Theatre “Rassicurati”, a small jewel among all the Tuscan theatres.

CERRUGLIO FORTRESS VISIT
The stunning fortress of Cerruglio, overlooking the whole valley, finally open for visits during the Open Week 2017. Opening hours 15.30 – 18.00
