How to get there
At the foot of an amphitheater of green hills in the Valdinievole area, Montecatini Terme is located in the province of Pistoia, only a short distance from Florence and the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The town can be reached via one of the two nearest international airports: Pisa’s Galileo Galilei airport, or Florence’s Peretola airport.
Both are connected to the town by the A11 motorway, Florence is about 30 minutes away; Pisa 40 minutes.
The railway network provides access to Montecatini Terme via the “Viareggio-Florence” line, with a stop at “Montecatini Centro” or “Montecatini Terme-Monsummano”. The route departs from Lucca, Pisa and Florence Santa Maria Novella; depending on the airport.
Railway stations can be reached from the airport by shuttle services in the case of Pisa, https://pisa-mover.com/en/shuttle-service/ , or by bus or tramway to Florence, https://www.gestramvia.it/
