“La Pineta” Thermal Park

In this vast natural area (approximately 75,000 square meters), created by Giulio Bernardini, the city’s numerous spas are located between small hills and promenade avenues. Through it, the Rio della Torretta river flows into a small lake.

The thermal park of “La Pineta” As a part of the therapeutic landscape, the Pineta thermal park serves both a landscape function as well as a health and wellbeing function, forming part of and constituting a typical element of the large spa town in which “the treatment” was a combination of outdoor physical activity and recreation as well as medical treatment.
