Privacy Policy

As of 25 May 2018, (EU) Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Council of 27 April 2016, “concerning the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, as well as the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation)” has been in force, introducing the figure of the Data Protection Officer (DPO);

The aforementioned Regulation states that the DPO “may be an employee of the controller or processor or perform his/her duties based on a service contract” and must be identified “on the basis of professional qualities, in particular the specialised knowledge of data protection legislation and practices, and the ability to carry out the duties referred to in Article 39” and “the necessary level of specialist knowledge should be determined based on the data processing performed and the protection required for personal data processed by the controller or processor”.

In compliance with the aforementioned provisions, the Municipality of Montecatini Terme has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO).

By Decree of the Mayor No. 17 of 24/11/2021, the Data Protection Officer (DPO) was appointed, pursuant to Article 37 of EU Regulation no. 2016/679 for the period 2022-2024
