Il servizio della funicolare ha avuto nel tempo alcune interruzioni, nel 1944 per cause belliche divenne inagibile fino al 1949, e in seguito nel 1977 furono necessari dei lavori di adeguamento tecnico che causarono la sua chiusura fino al 1982.
