Si ricorda poi Ruggero Leoncavallo, il quale possedeva una casa in città, dove morì nel 1919. Allo stesso modo una strada della città è stata dedicata all’autore.
Nel 1924 gli autori Puccini, Toscanini e Forzano nei locali dell’hotel La Pace di Montecatini Terme prepararono la messa in scena della Turandot. Fu Galileo Chini, in seguito alla morte di Puccini, ad occuparsi della scenografia dell’opera, poi portata in scena da Toscanini.
