Tra l’architetto fiorentino e Dino Scalabrino si creò un vero e proprio sodalizio: nel 1969 Scalabrino incaricò infatti Pietro Porcinai di realizzare un museo all’aperto presso l’albergo di Villa Ortensie, futura sede dell’Accademia d’Arte Dino Scalabrino.
