Festival MISFF – Montecatini International Short Film Festival
The Montecatini International Short Film Festival is the longest-running International Short Film Festival. MISFF is the most well-known Italian film festival dedicated to short films after the Venice International Film Festival. This year’s edition will be a hybrid format, with in-person screenings at the Excelsior Cinema and Portoghesi Hall within the Tettuccio Baths.
A significant novelty this year is the festival’s setting in the METAVERSE, in addition to all the activities organized in previous editions.
October 15 – Preview Guest Country 2023
October 16-22 – MISFF 2023: The festival will take place in its natural setting, in Montecatini Terme, in the extraordinary Historic Halls of the Excelsior and Tettuccio Baths, with the festival’s opening ceremony featuring local and national and international guests.
October 16: Opening Ceremony
MISFF Official Selection: Screening of short films in competition and films from Guest Festivals – TV talk show with international and national guests. A series of conferences and meetings on the promotion of the territory through culture are also planned, with the participation of associations, businesses, business networks, and more, in collaboration with CNA Pistoia-Prato, Confcommercio Regional and Provincial, ASSORETIPMI, FEDERMEP, ENIT, Società Dante Alighieri, Regione Toscana, Comune di Montecatini Terme, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio Pistoia e Pescia, Schools, and Universities.

October 19-21 – International Meeting, Masterclass, Talk Show, Community
Days dedicated to meetings with international authors at the Baths, in Historic Cafés, and in the historic halls of the Grand Hotels in the city. Their presence becomes a memory and a testimony.

October 21 – MISFF MARKET
For the first time, the festival is organizing meetings between producers and distributors. Entrepreneurs and representatives of the “Italian Lifestyle” will engage in discussions on cinema as a driver of development.
